Songpa Micro-Housing Under Construction
Songpa Micro-Housing in Seoul which won a BSA/AIA Unbuilt Architecture Award earlier this year is currently under construction. As an example of an emerging and important building type, the project seeks to demonstrate that micro-units are not a compromised type of housing but can instead provide new creative ways of dwelling. New shared spaces will be made possible by what we are calling ‘tapioca space’ – the soft intersection of the individual apartments with the collective public spaces of the building.
